KPCS sophomores are taking their vocabulary to the canvas—literally! In Art class, students are mastering color theory, saturation, value, texture, and contrast as they bring their colored pencil drawings to life. 🖍️✨

Learning the language of art means turning words into creativity! 💡🎨

We know we are partial to our school and students, but My! Oh! My! What a wonderful tribute to our veterans. A big shout out to our speakers, our singers, our poetry readers, our serving staff, our clean-up crew, and our greeters, the band, the cookie makers, the teachers that make it all happen and most especially our honored guests - the veterans! May we remember your service throughout the year!

A great group of juniors and seniors went to the University of Nebraska-Kearney and Central Community College in Grand Island last week. They were able to tour both colleges and see what each campus had to offer!

As of November 5th for the One Act Pie throwing, the polls say

Mr. Stephen is leading with 239 points, just behind him with 220 votes is Mrs. Clay, waaaay behind is Mrs. Hall with 66 votes, and trailing in last place with a measly 30 points is Ms. Ley.
Voting ends on October 14th and they pie-ing takes place along side the National Honor Society pie throw on November 21!
Just a reminder, ANYONE can vote, not just students, just bring your money to the high school office!!

The annual NHS food fight has begun! Team East is currently in the lead by a score of 252 to 212. We welcome all donations of nonperishable items, but you can earn your team double points this week by donating: cereal, canned meat, detergent, shampoo or canned fruit!

During class, the 8th graders were able to learn from our school nurse, Kristy Crawford, about giving CPR and how to use the AED machine that is housed within the school.

Don't forget the NHS blood drive is Wednesday 9-3.... walk-ins welcome!!
