Day 1 of NAAE ( National Association of Agricultural Educators) Conference was a success! Mrs. Trahan is representing Keya Paha County Schools and FFA District 10 in Phoenix, AZ for the next couple days. This trip was sponsored by the Nebraska Agriculture Educators Association.
The Bassett Arts Council is hosting Wendy Bantam for our seasonal Artist in Residency, Dec 11th through the 15th. The Rock County Library will be hosting, along with the BAC, After School classes with Wendy each day from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Old Feed Store Art Center, with a reception Friday evening to showcase their works. There are a limited number of spots, ages 9+, & a commitment to attend each day. Please contact Macey at the library (402-684-3800) to sign up before all the spots are full!

NC Student Athletes attended the Nebraska Coaches Association Sportsmanship and Leadership Summit in Norfolk yesterday. Guest speakers included Former Husker Volleyball National Champions Mikaela (Foecke) Richter and Kenzie Maloney. Along with Proactive Coaching speaker Rob Miller
Junior High Livestock judgers went to Atkinson to participate in a junior high livestock competition hosted by O'Neill FFA chapter. Students then stopped in at the Bassett Livestock Auction to further understand the livestock industry.
The One-Act team attended the conference competition in Stuart yesterday and placed 6th out of the 8 schools that attended.
We will be having a public performance in the high school on November 22nd for everyone to attend, hope to see you there!
