Samsung Electronics America is excited to announce that 300 public middle and high schools from all 50 states across America have been selected as State Finalists in the prestigious 14th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow national STEM competition.
The Keya Paha County School has made great strides in the competition, securing a spot in Phase 1 and earning the privilege of receiving Samsung products valued at $2500. With this accomplishment, our sights are set on Phase 2, where we will face off against four exceptional state finalists. The victor will proudly represent our state.
Courtney and Bailey from the Student Council helped the Kindergarteners paint a Christmas Tree ornament that will hang on our school tree.

Students in agricultural classes had the opportunity to learn from guest speaker Courtney Nelson on Tuesday. Courtney represents Northeast Community College and students had hands-on projects to learn about agriculture technology.

Day 1 of NAAE ( National Association of Agricultural Educators) Conference was a success! Mrs. Trahan is representing Keya Paha County Schools and FFA District 10 in Phoenix, AZ for the next couple days. This trip was sponsored by the Nebraska Agriculture Educators Association.
The Bassett Arts Council is hosting Wendy Bantam for our seasonal Artist in Residency, Dec 11th through the 15th. The Rock County Library will be hosting, along with the BAC, After School classes with Wendy each day from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Old Feed Store Art Center, with a reception Friday evening to showcase their works. There are a limited number of spots, ages 9+, & a commitment to attend each day. Please contact Macey at the library (402-684-3800) to sign up before all the spots are full!
